In September 2024, Pause 4 Paws received a call asking for help with a feline family living in an elderly woman’s backyard. There were two mother cats, seven four-month-old kittens (sadly, two had already passed), and five newborn kittens. Thankfully, another rescue organization stepped in and took one mother and her five baby kittens into their care—we are incredibly grateful to them.
Mom Betty escaped under the car, a lot of time was spent getting her out and back into a carrier.
That night, only four were trapped:
Mama cat, Betty
Three kittens: Beaker, Ren, and Ryker
Eight days later, we successfully trapped three more kittens: Rex, Penny, and Ernie, who were placed with their foster families. It took another week before the final kitten, Bert, was safely secured and brought into P4P's care.
All eight cats were sterilized, vaccinated, and microchipped. Thanks to the incredible love, patience, and dedication of their foster families, every single one of these kittens has since been adopted into their loving forever homes.
Updated photo’s of all 8 kitties previously in P4P care.

We are thrilled to share that all seven kittens celebrated their first birthday on May 5, 2025—happy, healthy, and thriving indoors with their forever families. This is made possible because of our loving fosters and donations from all those who support Pause 4 Paws.
