One night, Ava and Dylan came home to find a young cat lying helplessly in their driveway. Despite her injuries, she allowed them to pick her up—an act of trust that likely saved her life.
When they brought her to the hospital, the news was heartbreaking: she was anemic from blood loss, suffering from multiple bullet wounds in both hind legs and her tail. Several bones were fractured, her wounds were infected and she was so hungry when she was on her own, her stomach was filled with dirt. The initial plan was to amputate her left hind leg.
But then came the miracle.
She was transferred to Blue Pearl in Arden Hills for a second opinion, where she was treated by Drs. Kaufman, Jackson, Tye, Eskander, and Yu. Thanks to their incredible care and commitment, Miracle’s leg was saved—no amputation needed.
Through it all, Miracle has remained affectionate, gentle, and full of love. Her resilience is truly inspiring, and she is now ready to find a forever home where she will be safe, adored, and never harmed again.
Her name says it all: Miracle.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Ava, Dylan, Corynn, long-time Pause 4 Paws supporters and Kim Nybo, owner of Kimberly Nybo State Farm Insurance. Kim generously covered all of Miracle’s medical expenses and gave this brave girl a second chance at life.
If you or someone you know is looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of love and a spirit of courage, Miracle is waiting.
Thank you for being part of the Pause 4 Paws family and helping us make stories like this possible.
With gratitude, The Pause 4 Paws Team
