Every animal we help has a unique story—and today, we are honored to share two beautiful journeys of resilience, love, and second chances.
🐱 Pantera’s Story
Pantera was abandoned and left to fend for himself. Bonnie, a friend of Pause 4 Paws heard his desperate cries from a park adjacent to her backyard. High up in a tree, he was scared and alone. Just as she tried to help, a kind passerby climbed up and safely brought Pantera down.
He was taken in by the Schwarzkopf family—first-time fosters—where he quickly formed a special bond with their daughter, Evelyn. Pantera made himself right at home, sleeping in Evelyn’s room from the start and becoming her constant companion.
After several months in our care, a wonderful family came forward to meet Pantera. After connecting with the Schwarzkopf’s to set up a meet and greet, we received this heartwarming message:
"We wanted to reach out to let you know that our family would like to formally adopt Pantera. He has brought so much joy and our family is closer together because of him."
We couldn’t be happier for Pantera and his amazing new family!
🐾 Huey’s Journey
Huey was adopted a few years ago but unfortunately developed health issues that became challenging for his family to manage. With love and concern for his well-being, they made the difficult decision to return Huey to Pause 4 Paws.
Dedicated volunteers and supporters, Karla and Brad—who previously adopted two P4P cats, Shadow and Mia—stepped in to foster Huey with open hearts. Soon after, longtime P4P volunteers and cat lovers Lourdes and Jon reached out. Having experience with medically special cats, they offered to foster Huey with the intention to adopt.
Today, Huey is thriving in their care—taking his medications like a champ and soaking up all the love and attention he deserves. We are grateful to Lourdes and Jon for their dedication and for giving Huey a second chance at a joyful life.
